CompXR 250cc
The Comp XR 250cc features an Atomik
250cc powerful overhead cam engine, giving distinct performance
advantages over standard old technology push-rod engine designs.
Overhead cam (OHC) valve-train configurations place the engine camshaft
within the cylinder heads, above the combustion chambers and drive the
valves in a more direct manner compared to pushrods. Atomik have also
put in a performance camshaft into this engine, producing faster revs,
and improved low-range power. This engine also has incorporated a
start-in-any-gear feature allowing you to quickly get back into the
race, if you stall it.
Hi-tensile 4130-chromoly tube, a steel
alloy containing Chromium and Molybdenum, has been used in the frame,
giving a tensile strength of 97,000 lbs per square inch, stronger and
lighter than standard steel frames. Attached to the frame, is a CNC
machined removable sub-frame. The lightness of the frame design make
this dirt bike very maneuverable on the track or trail, whilst retaining
the strength to tackle the biggest jumps on any freestyle motocross
(FMX) track.
A closer look of the Comp XR 250cc,
you?€?ll notice its loaded with high quality precision CNC machined billet
aluminum components, which are lighter and stronger than any other
alloy, such as steel, cast alloy, or rolled aluminum. The CNC billet
hubs lighten the bike, and are superior in strength to any other hub
made of any other material.
The reliable and durable, 850mm long
travel USD forks don?€?t bottom out on the big jumps, and are solidly
attached to frame by a set of billet machined CNC clamps and triple
tree. Holding up the rear suspension, is a heavy-duty Atomik 1200lbs
shock with reservoir. Both front fork suspension and rear shock on the
Comp XR 250cc is fully adjustable in rebound, compression and pre-load
settings, to suit the riders weight, riding terrain conditions, and
hardness and softness preferences. The rear shock is also protected from
tyre flick-up of mud, dirt and rocks by an innovative durable plastic
guard, to ensure continued maximum shock effectiveness whilst riding.
The Fuse 250cc features a CNC billet linkage system, linking the shock
to the full alloy swing-arm, which increases the rear end travel and
further reduces any chance of bottoming out on the rear.
The Atomik Comp XR 250cc sports a neat
set of 7075 alloy rims, 21?€? on the front and 18?€? on the rears, a
stronger alloy than 6061 type alloys. The 7075 T6 alloys are heavily
utilized by the aircraft and ordnance industries because of its superior
strength. The 7075 alloy in the rim has also been T6 heat-treated,
ensuring maximum tensile strength. It also comes with durable Kenda
tyres, designed for sand and mud conditions and feature aggressive tall
knob patterns for deeper terrain bite with sufficient knob spacing for
self-cleaning. The 21?€? fronts and 18?€?inch rear Kendas also feature
improved casing structure for sidewall stability at low pressures.
An aftermarket standard stainless
muffler on a 38mm race pipe increases power to 21HP and engine attitude
is adjusted at the flick of a wrist of the ?? turn Joker throttle,
immediately flowing fuel through the 30mm Dekni carby.
Standard also on the Atomik Comp XR
250cc, are left and right mirrors, front headlights, indicators, rear
number plate bracket, rear brake light, horn and digital speedometer,
for those looking to recreational register their bikes.
